My name is Nancy Isabelle Ashing & my husband is John Kenyon. Together we share ideas related to my business, Repaints by IsaBelle. I started repainting in around mid 2005 & started to do so as a form of relaxation from my job working with the public at an art gallery. Repainting has since become my full-time job & my gallery job, now part-time.

My background has been in fine art since the age of 13. I attended specialized art courses throughout high school and then enrolled in a Fashion Design course at college. I worked as a freelance fashion illustrator after college, but soon went back into fine art. I’ve exhibited in Canada & abroad in group, juried & solo exhibitions, while maintaining a part-time/full time job at the Art Gallery of Ontario for over 20 years. I have as well, 3 years legal studies, but decided not to further pursue it in order to stay in the art field.

My husband, John & I work together on ideas of how each of the repainted dolls will eventually appear. John has an incredible sense of what elements go together in order to make a beautiful repaint….his insight is truly invaluable.

John’s background is in the film industry as a Locations Manager & Scout for many commercials filmed in & around Toronto. He is also works as a freelance photographer.

I am blessed with an incredibly supportive bother - Ian, sister - Betty, extended family (Kathy, Nicky, Kristin & John's awesome family) & pet bunny, Reno (yes he is supportive too)
